EXAMS................(17/12-21/12)

"SUPERVISION TIME"     T he quality and fairness of examinations is to a large extent determined by the quality of the exam supervision. The importance of good exam supervision can therefore not be overestimated. So i was focused in determining and ensuring the need to maintain decorum in an exam hall. Examination supervisor are also called test proctors who oversee exams so as a supervisor i was alert about the spirit of my duty at all terms. My goal as an exam supervisor is to ensure that all who take the test receive equitable treatment, that all testing procedures are followed and that all examinees have the same opportunity to excel on the test. Mainly i had duty on both forenoon and afternoon section. Student's overall performance was good even though there was some mishaps in between which was created by the 10th standard students in the hall. OVERVIEW (10/12 - 13/12)

"PREPARATION AND REFLECTION"    OBJECTIVES OF THE WEEK" To present a model question paper to the students. To reinforce students knowledge on different discourses like character sketch, diary entry, letter writing and profile construction. To provide a good foundation to edit passages. To make the students analyze the story and rearrange sentences to frame a new idea. To prepare the students for the English exam. To supervise students to avoid malpractices in exam hall.  ANALYSIS In this week my prime objective is to prepare the students for English exam by making them analyze the different themes that underline in four units by focusing more on dignity of labor and preservation of nature and environment. "HARD WORK" OBJECTIVES OF THE WEEK To introduce a new prose "A DAY IN THE COUNTRY" to students. To introduce compound words and its usage. To stress different types of Adjectives. To familiarize the difference between a sentence and a phrase.  ANALYSIS OF THE WEEK       The main objective of this week is to introduce a new prose to the students " A DAY IN THE COUNTRY". As entry activity I presented videos that themes helping mentality among students. I also tried to communicate the main theme of the story-'nature as the mentor and guide' and even focused on the different gifts that nature gives us to comfort us.The theme of the story "A day in the country" by Anton Chekhov is all about the creation. How good and wonderful it is. And it is also about making friends. We have a lot of inspiring stories. These help us to get inspired and never lose our hopes. SCHOOL EXCURSION (29/11- 2/12)

"WAYANAD- PALACE OF NATURAL BEAUTY"   Nested between the woods and situated on a hill this spectacular trip not only offered a endless memories and experience but also made a good foundation in my teaching career because in this trip i was on the footprint of a teacher and acted as a person who guide and motivate my students. we started our journey on 6.30pm from school premises and our first day destination was Kuruvadweep, Trekking in Tholpetty wildlife sanctuary and Thirunelli temple. we also had a camp fire on the first day and our second day destination was Meenmutty waterfalls, Banasura waterfalls and Soochipara falls. It was an wonderful trip and this excursion indeed helped me to expand my wide variety of skills as a teacher and we reached back Kollam by early morning on 2nd December.   "THRILLING EXPERIENCE"   OBJECTIVES OF THE WEEK To do necessary arrangement for school kolosavam programme. To act and chart out duties for kalosavam. To introduce a new poem to the students " SONG OF A FLOWER". To make the pupil understand more about seasons. To participate in school excursion as a teacher representative. ANALYSIS OF THE WEEK I n this week we had a lot of programmes associated with jilla school kalosavam as well as to coordinate school excursion. The main highlight was our drama "KARIVEPPILA" which was enacted in koyikkal school and won 4th place with B grade. On the second day of kalosavam i had duty in our school to check the classroom that was alloted to different school students who came to take part in competitions like vanchipattu and nadanpattu. WORLD OF MALAYALAM

"MALAYALATHILAKAM"   OBJECTIVES OF THE DAY  To give a proper foundation for students in Malayalam language through various activities and thereby lead students to the world of Malayalam. ANALAYSIS Today was the first day of malayalathilakam and Babu sir and me was allotted to handle the first class. It was activity oriented teaching process. The first activity was a sun-diagram wherein the students have to mention the names of their family members. The second activity was to sketch a house, tree, flowers and a river then after this they have to write mention everything they sketched above in words. Afternoon section i presented two videos and asked the students to observe it, later questions were asked based on it to which the students had to write answers in Malayalam. It was interesting as it promoted skills like listening, observing and writing.  Later Nimisha and i also taught students Malayalam alphabets and concluded the class with a dictation. ...

"INTRODUCE YOURSELF" ANALYSIS OF THE CLASS Today i planned to test my student's ability to edit passages in English. I gave them a passage at first then asked them to read the passage line by line by understanding the meaning of each sentences. Then provided even assistance to the one who showed indifference to this activity. It was interesting as it made the students to think as well as to act. After presenting this activity i switched on multiple choice question to reinforce student's knowledge. " Sweet Song Of Nightingale "     Objectives Of the First Phase  of the Week To reinforce the knowledge of students To motivate the students to construct poster and profile construction To introduce synonyms and antonyms to students ANALYSIS This week i planned to reinforce the students knowledge on the chapter "The Nightingale and the Rose". My aim was to enrich the students knowledge on discourse activities like poster and profile construction. Even i took care to introduce topics like synonyms and antonyms. CHILDREN'S DAY       Children's Day is celebrated each year on November 14 in India as a tribute to the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly called 'Chacha Nehru' was born this day, that is November 14, in 1889. 'Chachaji' or Jawaharlal Nehru was known for his love for children which is why his birthday on November 14 is celebrated each year as Children's Day. Before 1964, India celebrated   Children's Day   on November 20 that was observed as the universal Children's Day by the United Nations. But after Jawaharlal Nehru's death in 1964, it was unanimously decided to celebrate his birthday as 'Bal Diwas' in India as a token for his love and affection towards children."The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. LATE AUTUMN OF NOVEMBER   This is the first week of my teaching practice. I was indeed more curious to get back to my old uniform as a teacher. It was cherishing my own self and memories which i had left somewhere in the past.
