To make the pupil understand the effective use of punctuation in sentences with proper and active utilization of songs and different games. 

LEARNING OUTCOME

The learner will be able to:

> understand the importance of punctuation in writing.

> know and name the common punctuation marks.

> punctuate simple and complex sentences correctly.

> play games to strengthen knowledge of punctuation usage.

PRE-REQUISITES

The learner:

>may know simple and complex sentences.

> might have an idea about different punctuation marks.

CLASSROOM INTERACTION PROCEDURE

WARM UP ACTIVITY

Teacher ask the students to identify the difference between the following sentences: "What a fool I was" and "What a fool I was!"

Then ask the students where do we use full stop(.), question mark(?), exclamation mark(!), a comma (,), apostrophe(') and ellipsis(...)

DEVELOPMENT

PUNCTUATION SONG                                                                                                                             
Iam a comma, I look just like a hook. Every time you see me, slow down and take a look.

I'm a exclamation point, I'm full of surprise! Every time you see me, widen up  your eyes!

I'm a question mark, you might ask me why? Every time you see me, your voice will go high.            

I'm a period, I look just like a dot. Every time you see me, You must stop, stop.                                    

we are ellipsis, we come in group. Every time you see me, we make a pause...

Did you see the rabbit go down that hole said the farmer no said Sara look over there by that big tree said the farmer oh yes the rabbit has just jumped out again said Sara well it might not be the same rabbit exclaimed the farmer there are lots of rabbit in the hole
